What Is a Home Health Aide?

Home Health Aides are trained to assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming and toileting. As part of a home health plan of care, they work hand in hand with our nurses and therapists to make sure each patient's care plan is carried out.

How Our Home Health Aides Help

Bathing

Help with showers, baths or sponge baths, with attention to safety, comfort and privacy.

Grooming

Help with hair care, shaving, oral care, skin care and other daily hygiene.

Toileting

Respectful help using the bathroom and with incontinence care.

Dressing

Help getting dressed and undressed each day.

Mobility & Transfers

Help walking and moving safely in and out of bed or a chair, following the care plan.

Supporting the Care Team

Working with our nurses and therapists and reporting changes in condition or routine.

Is a Home Health Aide the same as a CNA?

They are similar. Both provide hands-on personal care. Home Health Aide services are usually part of a home health plan of care that also includes nursing or therapy. Call us and we'll help you find the right fit.
